The first two of Naja's informants happened to wander in through the door around that time. Balthier caught sight of the Mithra quickly, his expression belying some of his annoyance, though for the most part he managed to keep it hidden.

"I assume you'd be the lady we're looking for," the sky pirate began, making himself at home in one of the chairs. "Am I correct?"

Fran, on the other hand, wore the sort of blank non-expression that she tended to on a regular basis. Only those who knew her particularly well would be able to notice her mild annoyance, as she leaned against the nearest wall.

"I would assume as much."

Naja turns when the two arrive, taking time to carefully observe them; the woman, of course, was most interesting. Not a race that Naja was use to, but that was normal in Paixao. She had her questions about it, though she kept them to herself. This was business, after all. And the first of her informants...

"You both have assumed correctly," she answers smoothly, strolling over to her desk where her Morgenstern lays and leans against it. "I'm pleased to see that you've made a safe rrreturn."

"As am I," Balthier replies, "considering the veritable mob of creatures more than happy to wring our necks. Well, our hearts, really, but I suppose there isn't all that much difference in the end." The pirate leans forward in his chair, his tone serious yet light and with the barest hint of a self-assured smirk on his lips. "Now, it'd be a shame if what we learned ended up being lost to the winds because of a lack of monetary recompense, wouldn't it?" He'd said it before over the journals, but it was fair to remind their hirer what was at stake.

"So, let's get that taken care of first, shall we?"
