Hanekoma had been browsing the markets, looking to see what kind of selection Paixao had by way of coffee beans. While he had his own ways of altering the regular coffee bean into any form his customer could desire, it never hurt to do some research into the local blends. A wise business man anticipated the needs of his customer before they were even aware of them, after all ( ... )

Lithuania spotted Hanekoma as soon as he spoke up, the dark-haired man standing out easily amongst the citizens. It was no one he recognized, and not one of his children, but the man seemed nice enough, and willing to help, and Lithuania was certainly in need of help right now.

"Hello," he said, smiling a bit nervously. "I guess I just got here and I'm--"

He couldn't just say he had no idea how he got here, could he? That sounded insane. He shrugged, searched for the words, and finally sighed.

"I guess I don't know... Where I am."

Hanekoma nodded to the young man, pushing his sunglasses up his nose. "You're in good company there boss. I was in your situation only a short time ago. As the man at the door said, this is the city of Paixao, though how we got here is something I'm still a little hazy on the details of."

Scratching the back of his head, Hanekoma wished he could be a bit more helpful, though there were limits to even his knowledge. "Tell you what, why don't you come back to my shop for a cuppa joe, and I'll see if I can clarify some stuff."

All introductions were best conducted over a cup of coffee after all.

"So this happens to everyone who's here?" Lithuania said, eyes widening as his voice gained a pitch before he settled himself. "How long has this been going on?"

He hadn't heard about any mysterious disappearances--well, of course there were some in the world, but nothing like this, people disappearing into thin air. Of course, if no one had gotten back, maybe they were all filed away. But no one else had seen them disappear?

If he was gone too long, Lithuania realized, someone would notice. He wouldn't even have to be gone all that long.

Lithuania nodded at the man and followed after him. "I'm Toris Laurinaitis, by the way. You are?"

"I can't rightly say boss," Hanekoma said in an apologetic tone. "I haven't really asked anyone about it, though it does seem like a few people have been here for quite a while."

Extending his hand he said, "Pleased to meet you Toris, I'm Sanae Hanekoma."
