Alexander was quick to follow at Ed's heels, occasionally making forays ahead but never wandering too far. To come to the wall of thorns, however, was disorienting enough that he tilted his head back and forth a couple times, sniffing uncertainly at the tangle before he began to dig.

Ed wanted to save Nina, he wanted to go in there. Maybe Nina was in there. He would dig and save Nina. He kept digging.

Harry just stopped next to the others as they came upon an obstical that was weird even by his standards. After all, sure he was a wizard who had dealings with vampires and demons and Queen Mab herself, but a massive wall of thorns stretching to the ceiling of the dome between them and their goal was a little more Disney than he was used to.

Worse, these things were practically radiating dark magic, enough to make the hair on the back of Harry's neck stand on end, and give him a queasy feeling in his stomach. Whatever had made that wall had some seriously bad powers at its command.

"I don't suppose anyone knows three fairies who can spot us a magic sword, do they?"

By and large, a wall of thorns wasn't even remotely close to being the strangest thing that Squall had seen. To him, it just seemed like another obstacle they'd need to get past to get to where they were going.

"No, but I have some fire magic stocked."

And a few GFs, but he didn't really want to try those just yet. They were a little destructive for something like this, especially if something else would work just as well and have fewer side-effects.

Static had flown past the viney structure a few times...he hadn't realized there was a building under there until much later. Now, he was there to apparently help get in to the building behind the thorns. He wasn't quite sure how at the moment but hopefully someone ha a plan.

Static swooped down to join the others and jumped off of his disc when he was close enough to the ground, catching it in his gloved hand and letting it contract into its pocket sized form. "You sure a giant weed whacker won't work better," Static asked, catching the end of Harry's comment. Now that he was on the ground he let out a low whistle, it looked even more intimidating here on the ground, "Dang."

"Fire magic might work, but it's hard to say." She said in response to Squall as she carefully placed a hand on one of the vines, and then pulled it away, not liking the pure darkness that seemed to radiate off of them.

"They're certainly not normal thorns we're dealing with."
