Of all the people that he'd seen coming in through the gates (not that many, since he didn't make much of a habit of it), the one person that Gabranth hadn't dared hope he'd see was his young lord. As a result, spotting Larsa in the crowd came as more than a bit of a surprise. Of course, his helmet hid the evidence of his surprise, but it meant that there would be no mistaking him as he forced his way through the crowd.

His charge was here, and that was really all that mattered at the moment.

Larsa happened to look in the right direction at the right time. His brow furrowed slightly as he spotted the suit of armor coming near him, but the relief when he recognized it broke over the worried expression and he headed nearer.

"Judge Gabranth!" he called out, more than happy to find someone he knew so soon after his arrival.

"My lord," Gabranth answered, managing to just barely resist the urge to drop to one knee as he drew nearer. His charge was not yet the emperor, after all though he had to admit (mostly to himself) that he bore no love for Vayne and his tactics. But it was not his place to question the emperor. Not if he wished to retain that which he had.

"You are well?" he asked, moving to take off his helm. There would be no need of it in this conversation.

Larsa wasn't really sure what he would have done had Gabranth taken a knee in front of him. While the young boy was used to being shown respect in accordance to his title, he wasn't sure if that was needed here, in this city he knew nothing about.

Larsa allowed his eyes to rest upon his guardian's face as the helmet was removed, feeling more than a little glad that he had someone he knew to walk with him and explain about this place.

The relieved expression faltered for a moment at the last words his guardian spoke. "I am.. as well as I can be. I only just arrived here, at the city." For Larsa, it was a bit of a time paradox. He clearly remembered seeing Gabranth back in the skyfortress of Bahamut not moments before, yet here he was in this city. Was he dreaming perhaps?

Perhaps it wasn't. The city was neither Archades nor any of the other assorted places of Ivalice, as far as he could tell. But not even that could take away the fact that Larsa was next in line for the Imperial throne, should his brother come to be unable to do so for some reason.

But there were more important things than the politics of Archades to worry about just now. Now was the time to deal with the matters of the city, and he might as well take of the most unusual ones first.

"I should warn you that time seems... ill-aligned here."
