Uzuki had left the restaurant, and Kariya--though he was probably still sleeping--in favor of going to see just what was going on. She'd heard whispers in the journals, and shouts on the message board, but second-hand accounts were never as good as seeing things for herself.

Her attention was drawn to the wall of thorns, of course, but she saw no way through, other than forcing her way in. She was debating the merits of an attempt when she heard the booming voice not too far away. She followed her ears.

"Do you think that will actually work?"

Yuuko had just lowered her hand, resting it on her hip when there was a voice to her right. She turned to assess who it was. Yuuko didn't know her but that didn't particularly matter. "Hmm...maybe you're right," Yuuko looked down at the thermos with the tea, "Do you think I should have brought booze instead?"

She waved her hand in dismissal, "Still, it can't hurt~ I would come out of my house for tea...I don't see why whoever is living behind a wall of thorns wouldn't either."

Uzuki smirked, looking first at the woman and then at the thorns once more. "It doesn't look like they want to be bothered."

Not that this was stopping her from trying to bother them, of course. And it was their own fault; a huge thing like this was noticeable in a city like this, and not only for being the only piece of real greenery inside the dome.

"If you do get anyone to come out, I think I'll join you," Uzuki added. "I'm Uzuki. You are?"

After leaving Mutt to his own devices, Fran had gone in search of new people to help or information to gather. The postings on the message board had intrigued her and she very much wanted to have a better understanding of the vaguely-stated take-over. She found two women standing as close to the front of City Hall as the tangled vines permitted and wondered if perhaps they were also hoping for an audience with Maleficent.

"Hello," Fran said with a friendly smile as she walked up to them.

"Nope, it certainly doesn't," she paused, "but that's not going to stop me." That said she set the basket down and pulled out a blanket, unfolding it and spreading it out before the towering thorns, "I don't mind waiting...and perhaps they just didn't hear me and I should yell louder."

She looked back at Uzuki after she had spread the blanket and smirked, "Yuuko."

Just as she said her name another person approached and she glanced at Uzuki, "Of course if we draw a crowd there's always the chance that'll draw their attention." She then directed her attention to the young woman, "Hello. Come to join our Picnic by the Thorns?" She paused and cupped her hand to her mouth, shouting to city hall, "WHOEVER IS IN THERE IS STILL WELCOME TO JOIN US! I DON'T MIND LATE ARRIVALS AT ALL!"

"Hanging around so close to whatever they want to protect has to do something," Uzuki agreed, looking at the new arrival. She didn't look like anything special, but that didn't mean she didn't have some secret ability or anything. Paixao was weird, and with no apparent separation of the RG and UG, who knew what sort of abilities everyone was running around with.

The ability to build a wall of thorns overnight seemed to be one.

"I hope we don't get mindless guards or something," she said with a sigh. "That'd be so boring."
