"Gambling...? That would be a good idea," he said, thinking deep into the idea. "But, do the people here even gamble?" Allen asked Rabi, but didn't expect an answer. More like a rhetorical question ( ... )

Well, even if they didn't gamble, that just makes robbing them blind easier for you, he thought to himself. He knew better than to voice that one, though.

Oh, change of subject! They were getting food after all. Rabi perked up, looking more like a pet who'd just been given table scraps. He willingly tagged along behind Allen, stopping only when he turned to reply. "But.. uh... that doesn't really answer my question," he said, more to himself than to the beansprout. But then Allen changed the subject again! Rabi frowned, making a mental note to ask him later, then followed him outside.

"Hey, I just got here yesterday. I didn't know anyone else was---" Oh, now that was just precious. Allen missed him! Rabi grinned so wide that his smile threatened to slip right off his face, grabbed the younger exorcist in a tight hug, and messed his hair up again.

"Ha ha!! I missed you too, squirt," he said, adding another nickname to the list. "Would've been a lot lonlier here without you."

The sudden tug of his body into the other's arms made him gasp in surprise. He merely struggled to get out of Rabi's grasp as he messed up his hair, once again. But this time, he did it lightheartedly, until he gave up, and hugged back briefly. "It would've been lonely... wouldn't it? I'd hate to feel that again," he said sadly, but probably too vague for others to understand what exactly that is. "Squirt?" He changed the subject. "I'm not that little!"

The boy had many secrets, but he didn't have the feel to discuss it with anyone, yet.

"Now," Allen said. "Where exactly are we going...? To get a meal? I wonder where a good restaurant is."

"Nah, not little. You're perfect height, actually," he said, letting go of him for just a second. Not too long after, he rested one of his arms on Allen's head, that silly grin of his never leaving his face. "Just right for an arm-rest ( ... )

Allen grumbled in mild irritation as his head was used as an arm-rest. Well now, he didn't expect Rabi to actually do that in person. If it was somebody else, he would've admitted that Rabi was tall enough and that he was short enough to be his personal... arm-rest. Allen bowed his head and slipped about a foot or two away from the older man, running a hand through his own hair to tidy up the mess Rabi made. "I was just obs-ow!" Allen winced as he came across a knot on his hair. "...Observing it earlier, and yeah, nothing's really close around Niflheim besides that hotel and Auntie Unde's." The boy made a face upon saying the name of the general store ( ... )

He was so used to flying on his hammer that, when Allen started screaming, he nearly jumped and let go of the handle. "I'll explain later!!" was all he said. It was a lot easier than saying: hey, I ran into some guy's store, and he was looking for me, and I've gotta go, 'kay? There would be time for that when they landed.

Rabi swung one leg over the handle of his hammer, riding on it like a witch on a broom. He eventually set Allen down in front of him, just because the little munchkin was starting to hurt his shoulder. "You're kinda heavy, you know," he mumbled, but his words were lost over the roar of the wind.

Once he was absolutely sure he wasn't going to slip and fall to his death, he pulled out his journal again, opened up the map, and handed it to the younger boy. "Quick! Tell me where we're going!" he shouted, focusing more on making sure neither of them fell. They were moving fast, so if they wanted to land at all (which, you know, would probably be a good idea...), they'd have to make up their minds now.

His eyes were squeezed shut as they were in mid air, only opening them as he was removed from Rabi's shoulder, placed in front. In a way, he was afraid of heights. If it was a few feet from the ground, everything was fine… but well, this wasn’t the case, apparently. They were way up in the air. way way up in the air. Allen held back his fear, squeezing his eyes shut again, ignoring the comment regarding to his weight. “…T-tell me when we g-get there!” He shouted, maybe a bit more louder than needed.

As the other yelled out the command, Allen brainstormed (not really), thinking of the name that first popped up in his head. “…Go to Vanaheim!”

Rabi's face nearly twitched at the mention of Vanaheim. "UH... we can't go there either!!" he exclaimed, recalling a rather emotionally scarring conversation he'd had with someone over the journals the day before. Really, that journal was getting him into more trouble than he'd bargained for. The only good thing that had really happened to him was finding the beansprout ( ... )

"WHY NOT--" Before Allen could finish his sentence, he was cut off by Rabi. "...Fine! You better explain, in detail, what happened!!" he found himself shouting. This was simply too tiresome, especially if his friend had already gotten himself into trouble even if he have only been there for… two days? Allen wasn’t exactly sure, but definitely after he himself arrived to Paixao.

“So then… where are we going?!” Allen exclaimed, rather distressed. He didn’t want to be lost… even with the map. It would be useless having the map and you have absolutely no idea where you are. The ‘bean sprout’ secretly hoped that there are signs. If there are, he must’ve not paid attention much to realize that there was some.

At the command, Allen held on tighter to the hammer, hoping that this wouldn’t be the last time to see the sun as he squeezed his eyes shut.
