The lifeless blondes of this city weren't the only ones watching Makoto. Zetsu's wanderings over Paixao had carried him a fair distance, and unlike Makoto, he hadn't seen the girl he'd wanted--Konan seemed quite simply to be gone, and no amount of searching on his part had proved capable of turning her up. That similarity wasn't why he noticed her, though; what piqued his curiosity was that he had, in fact, been looking in much the same direction the young girl had. And unlike her, he had seen absolutely nothing, both when she'd shouted and afterwards.

His own search had been discouraging at best; he saw no reason why he couldn't make a brief stop. If it wouldn't prove fruitful, at least it might distract him from how frustrating and tedious his task was fast becoming. Zetsu moved towards the girl, brushing past a few confused citizens without more than a glance. "Looking for someone?"

"Yeah...Could have sworn she was right there a second ago..." Makoto answered before turning to see who was talking to her. Turning, she saw a...plant man? She blinked for a couple of times, but didn't really freak out or attempt anything, he hadn't attacked her anyway, just seemed to be looking to help.

"Are you?" She asked, wondering, since he had asked her.

"We haven't seen anything except you and the citizens for a while now." Zetsu offered. The expected silence and doubletake came as predicted, but nothing beyond that--she didn't recoil, didn't attack, didn't even look disgusted or horrified. It was.... actually a rather pleasant surprise. Zetsu didn't bother to smile, though, instead offering Makoto a politely neutral expression; with teeth as sharp as his, smiles were rarely interpreted properly.

Instead, he merely nodded. "A woman, about so." He gestured to estimate at her height. "Blue eyes and hair, a stud in her bottom lip, and a white flower in her hair." Easily distinguished from the natives, obviously, which made it even more frustrating that he had lost her. Somehow, he doubted that he'd be seeing her again here.... Or if he did, at least not anytime soon.

Makoto thought for a moment. "I haven't seen anyone like that around." She said, "But I'm hearing that people are disappearing again...and that's never a good thing." She offered that information, hoping that it may help somehow. She stood back up and brushed off her skirt.

"Maybe we should look together? Two sets of eyes are better than one, no? Even if anyone not from here is easily seen here...everyone here looks exactly the same."

Zetsu nodded, frowning quietly. "A lot of people have been disappearing lately." He agreed. "She might be one of them, though we hope she just went on her own somewhere." Not quite a lie, that--wishful thinking was more like it.

That she would offer to help.... again, it was surprising, but not unwelcome. Zetsu nodded in acceptance. "We don't see why not.... The people in this town practically look like they're all siblings or twins." And their blood.... It was all very strange. "What does Usagi look like?"
