Alexander followed Ed faithfully, sniffing for traces of Nina and starting at various passersby who got too close or seemed like they might be paying too much attention to them. The dog couldn't be sure who the enemy was, except by scent, and while he hadn't smelled any more nothings, he couldn't be too careful.

He knew Nina was still unharmed, but he didn't know how long she would stay that way.

Harry had managed to track down the meeting place, relying on the maps Yuuko had showed him how to access. He still hadn't figured out how to find a new living situation, now that his room lacked a ceiling, but at the moment a little girl's life was at risk, so any other concerns could wait.

Arriving at the station, Harry stepped out of the train and looked around, his height allowing him to see over most of the crowd in search of a boy who looked like the picture in the journals. Course, given almost everyone in this city was blond...this might be harder than he thought.

Up until recently, Squall would have been quite willing to let the Organization do as they pleased. After all, SeeD wasn't supposed to take sides unless they were paid to do so. But this went far beyond that.

Not to mention he was fairly certain Rinoa would have yelled at him if he hadn't gone to the rescue this time. Kidnapping, sure, fine. But kidnapping young children? That was more than a little uncalled for.

Finding the person he was supposed to meet at the station might be a little difficult - 'blond' was ridiculously common, but he would definitely stand out and not just because he had Lionheart slung across his back.

Timon was surprised by the short amount of time it took him to reach the station. Until now, he had never really noticed the change in distance. Sure, people had mentioned it, but as far as he saw it, it was simply because they had grown accustom to the city. When one walked the same path everyday for at least a year, the distance seemed much shorter compared to one taking the exact same path for the first time… Or something like that. There was probably a better way of putting it, but he had yet to read enough fortune cookies to know ( ... )

Ed started slightly when he heard the voice coming from under Alexander's chin. He put his hand on the dog's neck as he leaned over to see the smaller animal standing in the larger's shadow. He allowed himself a small smirk, despite the grim circumstances. "Even if that's supposed to be a joke, you wouldn't be the first one to tell me I need a hair-cut," he replied.

As he straightened back up, he spotted one of the others who had answered his call-to-arms. It was hard not to notice the man, actually. He was huge. Taller than Alfons. Nearly as tall as Armstrong (though thankfully not as generally horrifying). Ed suppressed a small grimace and then shouted the name from the journal to get the man's attention. "Harry Dresden!"

Alexander started at the fast-moving little creature, tilting his head as he considered it--having never seen an animal like that before--and craning his head down to sniff at the thing. Male, some sort of rodent, maybe? Too big to be a mouse or rat, though. Maybe a weasel? Alexander wasn't sure.

Uncertainly, he nosed the weasel-thing.
