After his encounter with the technicolor annoyances, Kefka had begun to walk back the way he came at the beginning of it all. Sadly, his mana was recovering at a slower pace than he would have liked, but the newcomer--oh the newcomer!--made his situation oh so much sweeter.

The Esper girl was here. Of all people! Of any of the scum that could have arrived, this was the best development of all! Hee-hee... He wondered whether or not he could break her all over again.

It was as he passed by the gate that something caught his eye. He wasn't sure what in the world it was (it looked like some sort of marshmallow crossed with someone's grandma) but it was interesting enough to warrant further investigation... of sorts. He stopped and rose an eyebrow, deciding just to stare at it for now and maybe try and figure out what it was.

Quina knew that there were restaurants around the area. It still was not really sure why it could not eat Timon but there were restaurants nearby. And it was getting hungry. Perhaps it should try and see what the plants tasted like first. After all, they did look unusual and Quina was a gourmand.

Just then, Quina began to notice the being staring at it. A human? With a white and red face? How odd. His clothes looked strange as well. Would somebody with a white and red face taste good?

((gah! Sorry, not used to the new posting format yet. ._.; Also, I apologize for using Kefka for this. XD *hug a Quina*))

Kefka could have run off and left the marshmallow to its own devices, but his curiosity (more like confusion, really) had gotten the best of him, and he finally approached. He leaned in a little closer, expecting the thing with a hand placed on his chin. There was nothing like this where he came from, that was for sure...

It was about then that he noticed it was looking at him. "What are you looking at?" he snapped.

((Don't worry about it! I'm rather curious about how this thread is going to turn out! XD))

As the painted man approached it, Quina began to think that perhaps he had food. That was a good sign. It was still hungry.

It was certainly not put off by the man’s abrupt words. “You stare at me,” it replied, not taking its eyes off Kefka. “You have food? You look very strange”.

Kefka jumped about a foot in the air and quickly danced out of Quina's reach, an almost comical look of surprise on his face. It could talk? Really, he hadn't a clue when he spoke that it was capable of a response (or even understanding him). Most of it was for his own sake.

But the mage quickly recovered and scowled with obvious disdain. "Do I look like I have food?"
