Never seen a moogle before? The only thing that kept Montblanc from expressing his surprise about that was the fact that he'd never seen any of their kind before, either. Maybe moogles weren't so common around here, but as far as he was concerned, any world without moogles was sorely missing out.

"Yep, just got here a few minutes ago, kupo. I'm from Rabanastre, or more broadly, Ivalice, if you like," he answered. "Montblanc at your service, kupo." This last bit came with a short but spirited bow, if only because it'd be awkward trying to shake hands around the height difference. "And yourselves?" he added.

"Ahnassi is a Khajiit," Ahnassi informed Montblanc with a broad grin, "from the town of Pelagiad in Morrowind. Ahnassi's world is called Nirn, and it has many interesting creatures and people, but Ahnassi is seeing more and more different people since coming here. A while back, Ahnassi even made friends with a talking rat!" The Khajiit still hadn't gotten over that one. She may not have seen Montblanc's species before, but he at least looked like some exotic species and not a common rodent. It somehow made things a little less weird.

She decided to let Juro introduce himself. He knew better than she did where he came from and whatever other information he wanted to divulge. Besides, her attention had become caught on the pompom bobbing from the top of Montblanc's head. Her eyes followed its motion as Montblanc moved, and she had to restrain the urge to poke at it. She wasn't sure what the purpose of such an appendage was for. Some sort of extra sense, perhaps?

"The name's Juro," said the kamaitachi. "I don't come from any place with a fancy name, I come from the mountains and the forest and the real world." He snorted. "The place where trees are actually trees and every looks natural. Hmph!" His tail whipped back and forth for a moment.

He frowned. "What the heck are you, anyways?"

A talking rat, huh? Well, now he'd heard everything. Ahnassi and Juro, though... he filed the names away for reference. Juro's comment about the trees made him curious, and he looked briefly around for one, but there didn't appear to be any right on this street. "What's wrong with the trees, kupo?" he asked.

He couldn't help preening a little at the question, though. "I'm a moogle, kupo!" he replied simply.

"Juro is unhappy because there are no real trees in this place," Ahnassi explained to Montblanc. "Paixao only has shiny fake trees as decorations everywhere. All the plants are fake here. Ahnassi thinks they are very pretty, and that someone must have spent a very, very long time making them all... But it is also sad to not have any real plants."

The Khajiit looked a little unhappy when she spoke of the complete lack of actual vegetation, but she perked up a little bit when the subject was changed. "Ahnassi has never heard of moogles before, but she is happy to meet you, Montblanc! If there is anything you need or would like to know about this place, Ahnassi will be happy to help!"
