Stitch rested his journal on the bench he was laying on and looked around. Rikku was floating, fiddling with her journal a bit. He had been having a conversation with a girl named Rakka over the journal network, still trying to figure out how it worked.
He sat up and hung the journal around his neck, noticing a girl a bit in front of him with wings and a halo, fitting the description of Rakka. Getting off of the bench, he wandered over and gently nudged at her leg.
Startled, she looked up from her journal--previously she had been engrossed in conversing through it and figuring it out. Looking down, she immediately recognized Stitch--the little blue-furred alien would have been hard to confuse with anyone else. She smiled.
"Yeah, that's me!" He said, smiling. "I thought I'd find you somewhere when you said you were near this gate!" He liked meeting new people, especially when he was in a place that he didn't know at all.
"I have a friend around here, her name's Rikku, but I dunno where she is at the moment..." He said, looking around for his friend.
As if on cue, Rikku popped her head up from behind the aforementioned bench. "Right here, silly!" she exclaimed. She'd just ducked down real quick to pocket something shiny on the ground - there was a lot like that around here, so she was probably gonna have to find a hideout before they went to that festival coming up, but nonetheless.
This new person was interesting, though, and Rikku flitted over to investigate. "Hey, is this a friend of yours, Stitch?" she asked, floating up and tapping experimentally at Rakka's halo. She'd never seen an accessory quite like it, but it looked pretty cool.
((ooc: sorry about the delay, just spent most of the weekend at work..))
Rakka was amazed that Stitch had managed to find someone smaller than he was, and she looked up at Rikku as Rakka's halo bobbed gently in response to Rikku's tapping. Paixao really was a strange place.
"A fairy?" Rakka gasped. "Hi--Rikku? I'm Rakka. Did you just show up here, too, or do you live here?"
"Yeah Rikku, where are you from? I never got to ask." Stitch giggled as he watched the fairy play with the other girls halo. "I don't think you're from Earth anyway, I've never seen a human fly before...or as small as you."
