Juro had been out all night sneaking around the city (well, in actuality he'd just been mostly walking around like normal, and liked to think of it as sneaking), trying to see what kind of things he could find. Aside from getting a better idea of where things were around here, he hadn't accomplished much. Admittedly he had entertained the thought of trying to spook a bunch of the townspeople, but he hadn't been much in the mood to actually do so. Now he was ready to come back and finally sleep.

The door to the room opened slowly, and Juro came in quietly, thinking that Ahnassi was still asleep. Half-tired as he was, it took him a moment to realize that, contrary to his belief, the Khajiit was already wide awake.

"Oh...you're up already," he mumbled.

The Khajiit jumped a little as a stranger opened the door to the room and walked in as if he belonged there. He didn't seem hostile, but it was still really weird. Was this some odd custom of the town or something? Perhaps some kind of room service? She didn't recall asking anyone to wake her at any particular time, so she doubted it was that...

She looked him over for a moment, with the strangest feeling that she had seen him before somewhere. Maybe he'd been hanging around the front desk the previous night or something. Wherever he was from, though, his presence was unexpected and possibly dangerous. Although Ahnassi still appeared as relaxed as usual, any remaining grogginess from waking up had vanished as she waited to see who this person was and what he wanted with her. After a moment of silence without any information forthcoming, her curiosity finally got the best of her. "And... you are?"

Juro frowned. "What, you don't recognize me at all?" he said, and then looked down at himself. "Though I suppose you wouldn't, now would you?"

His human form suddenly disappeared, leaving the form of the weasel monster that Ahnassi would more easily recognize. He stared at the Khajiit, blinking a few times to clear his vision. "It was about time to drop that stupid guise anyways."

Ahnassi jerked in surprise as the human's form suddenly changed, leaving behind the kamaitachi that she had been traveling with. "Oh, Juro! It's you!" she exclaimed, a smile spreading over her face as she processed this new information. She hadn't realized that her companion was so good at illusionary techniques! Either that or he was something like a werewolf... except not exactly a wolf. Whatever the explanation was, it was a useful talent to have. "Ahnassi wondered where Juro had gone to... Did you have a nice sleep? Ahnassi was just about to go find some breakfast. Are you hungry too?"

"Sleep? Didn't get even one bit," said Juro, biting back the yawn that threatened to escape him. He clenched his teeth together for a moment. "But that doesn't matter much. I'll still be fine regardless of what happens."

His stomach clenched at the mention of food, and his hand slowly went to rest on his belly. "Depends on what's available," he said. "Some kind of meat sounds good right now, actually."

"Oh, no sleep?" Ahnassi asked, concern edging into her voice as she tried to decide just how tired she thought the kamaitachi looked. Probably more tired than he needed to be, even if he was still okay for a while. "Juro should have rested while he had the chance," she said in a mildly reproving tone. After all, it made sense to actually sleep in the room if you had already paid for it! She wasn't that upset, though. It could be hard for some people to sleep in a strange place unless they were exceptionally tired. "Ahnassi is sorry if Juro had trouble sleeping, though... Maybe a yummy breakfast will make Juro feel better?"

The Khajiit grinned and headed for the door, patting Juro's shoulder as she passed him by. "Meat sounds tasty to Ahnassi too," she told him. "Perhaps some bacon or sausage can be found around here somewhere." She wasn't sure what the hotel had for food, but if there wasn't anything they liked, the two of them could always look elsewhere. Ahnassi was good at... obtaining such things, after all.
