It had been a longer trip for Sora, and he'd spent a lot of the time playing around with the journal, constantly checking his message on the message board for any sign of his friends. But there was none, and he had to content himself with trying to figure out who everyone was in this strange world ( ... )

Alice had learned that the girl's name was Rinoa, and she was as lost as they were. It had only taken ten minutes to teach Sora how to use the electronic journal and he was already whizzing through it now, making friends and whatnot. Alice's suggestion that they take the train wound up being a good one: there was a fellow Sora already wanted to meet, and they were on their way to see him right now. Alice didn't think much of seeing someone she never met, but Sora had a kind of infectious way of getting others to go along with him, so Alice resigned herself to meeting this "Robert ( ... )

(OOC note of importance: HEY GUYS, I SCREWED UP.

Sora doesn't know Sylar's real name, and I totally forgot that. Sylar's going by Robert, and please, please, please in future posts, refer to him as that... Except, of course, for Sylar-mun. XD

Again, this is Sora-mun, apologizing and banging her head against the desk. XD Thanks!)

"Mm," Rinoa agreed with Alice, "Though I guess you can't expect perfect strangers to be friendly with us." Although it certainly would make the world a really better place if strangers could greet each other like old pals. Rinoa had been sitting pretty quietly throughout the train ride; something that was quite out of the ordinary for her. There was simply a lot on her mind at the moment ( ... )

There. That kid had to be him. No other self-respecting human male would wear those bright primary colors, at least not in public. Sylar strode through the crowd towards the kid he was sure was Sora.

Who were those two girls with him, though? This kid was either really lucky or really good. Given the way he'd sounded on the journals, Sylar was betting he was just lucky.

He arrived in time to hear the taller girl's comment. "Well," he made his way towards the group, "maybe you can tell me." Turning to face her, he flashed his friendliest smile. "I'm Robert," he lied.

He then turned to the kid with the clown clothes. "Are you Sora?"

Sora recognized the face with the picture and he grinned, nodding in the affirmative. He placed both of his hands behind his head, a habit if his whenever he was meeting new people. "Yup ( ... )

Alice wondered what kind of reaction she should have had to Rinoa's comment. Looking at Robert, she realized she really had no interest one way or the other in his appearance. She barely knew him, and there wasn't much she could go on at this point ( ... )

Rinoa grinned in reply to Robert's comment. Had such a thing happened to another, they would have been embarassed, at least slightly. Fortunately for Rinoa, embarassment didn't quite make it into her dictionary. "You're pretty cute," she replied, glad for his friendliness. "You almost make me regret being taken," she joked. Rinoa let Sora introduce her and Alice, then listening interestedly at Sora's plans.

"I don't mind going," anything is better than being alone. Then realizing that she might not be able to go home if she doesn't try looking for the way back, she added, "Maybe there's a way out near the church!" It was unlikely, but it served to comfort her a little. Maybe there was a meadow near the church and a beach near the meadown. Maybe it was actually their promised place. Maybe Squall has been waiting there for some time now.
