Haku had slept a lot after he, Picchu and Naruto had left the hospital, and had gone to bed with a feeling of accomplishment. He had helped a lot of people. Of that he was sure, and it put him at ease to know that he was doing something for someone, that he was using his training on not being a shinobi. Thus, when Haku awoke to find both Naruto and Picchu gone, though Picchu had left a note, the effeminate shinobi felt lonely ( ... )

Turning to see who had addressed him, he grinned, "Yeah...It is. I haven't seen snow in a while." Pausing, he reached back to pull the hood of his light blue cloak over his long white hair, "I might not really be dressed for this kind of weather, but I think I'd rather be out there than get stuck in here." There was another pause and an even wider grin, accompanied by a small bow. "Sorry, I should introduce myself. I'm Bakura."

Haku couldn't help but laugh at Bakura's comment about being dressed for the weather. The effeminate shinobi had sandals on, not that it would matter. What was a little snow to someone with his bloodline, after all? It looked like he was going to need to track down some teal nail polish, though. His was starting to chip a little. Shame.

"My name is Haku," Haku replied in kind, with a bow of his own. "And I agree. I was actually heading out myself. I haven't had a chance to be in the snow for a while, and it's been, ah, bothersome."

Haku then smiled. "Would you care for some company?"

Bakura hadn't noticed the sandals until Haku had started laughing.

"Company would be appreciated." The effeminate, white-haired game master met Haku's smile with his own.

He went to the door and held it open for his new friend. The snow was a welcome change from the heat and the rain.

[[OOC-Short....We'll stick with the snow, even though the weather's changed again.]]

"I'm glad," Haku said as he headed to the door. He passed through with a murmur of thanks. "I've found myself having grown rather fond of having company."

Outside, the effeminate shinobi's smile seemed even brighter as he held out his hands to catch the falling snowflakes. If he was cold from the snow around his bare feet, he didn't show it. Then again, the snow wasn't actually touching his feet. A little manipulation of chakra, and the snow was actually being pushed away so that Haku had clear places to step. Certainly easier than walking on trees or water, that was for sure. Not that Haku had trouble with either.

"How long have you been here?"

Following Haku, he grinned, "Me too. Usually I don't have a lot of company where I'm from. I tend to push people away. I don't want to accidentally hurt anyone." He went quiet suddenly, focusing on the snowball he had started packing in his hands. It was somewhat obvious that he wasn't going to speak further on the subject he had headed into. He didn't want to be a burden on anyone.

When Haku addressed the length of time he'd been in Paixao for he laughed a little, "How long? Honestly, I've lost count. Over a month by now. It's nice here. It makes me think this is place is a storybook someone wrote."

Bakura piqued Haku's curiosity, but the effeminate shinobi knew better than to pry into the lives of people he barely knew.

"It's very noble of you to protect your precious people," he said. "Especially at such a seemingly great personal cost.

"It's quite funny. I don't think I remember how long I've been here, either. I just know it's been a very long time. It is nice here. It just makes me wonder what the city is hiding. There must be something, otherwise those things wouldn't have been attacking people..."

Haku stopped, looking down at the snow and then looking around. "Want to build something out of the snow?"

It was a childish notion, but Haku hadn't built snow-things in a long time. Zabuza had never been amused by them.

Continuing to pack the snowball with more snow, he grinned, "I guess you could put it that way."

He smiled, "Yeah. It is a bit of a suspicious place. All adventures have their little secrets and their masters." He gave a grim smile, "Whether we like those masters or not is a different story. And I agree that the monster things that attacked people are probably involved in one way or another."

"Sure. What should we build?" He hadn't built anything in a while either.

"It has been my experience that nice things are not without their price," Haku said quietly. It was kind of a saddening thought for him. "A village at peace often pays for that peace in the blood of their shinobi, before, during, and after."

Haku crouched down and ran his hand through the snow, leaving a trail of lines in the wake of his fingers.

"We could build anything. A snow-nin, a snow village... The possibilities are endless." Haku smiled. "We should build something that leaves a mark, if only for a while. But what that would be, I'm not sure."

(OOC: Sorry this took so long. I've been caught up in stuff because of Spring Break.)

Bakura shrugged at what Haku said. He didn't have many nice memories. In fact, he would admit it to himself that he had his memory blank out on him frequently. Although, he kind-of knew why now.

"Snow-nin? Is that like a snowman? I like the idea of a snow village, though." He glanced at Haku, making another small snowball. He didn't have his game pieces he had bought, but that didn't mean he couldn't use what he had to make mini figures of all his new friends out of the snow.

This was something he liked to do. Making things.
