Dan had no idea where he was...of course, he wasn't about to let that show. Besides, he wouldn't know how to--giving up one's humanity has that effect ( ... )

"I didn't trip you, idiot." The knight didn't look up immediately as he gave his concise analysis of the situation, and continued typing. The double-layered voice reminded him of something--rather someone...and a someone he would rather not be thinking about at the moment. Not when there was business to attend to.

When he finished typing, he did glance up...Empty, expressionless blue eyes staring at the odd-looking greenish individual before him with the mostly empty expression, somewhat like the mask he used himself, although quite different at the same time...and he was floating. The Knight was a little...irritated at the fact that it seemed that Leafe had evolved everywhere except Leafenia, at least as far as he could tell so far in his stay in Paixao, which was only like maybe a half-hour at most ( ... )

Dan raised an eyebrow. Who was this kid to stand up to someone like him? He was the eternal epitome of doom and destruction--for two realms, no less! Could anyone else claim such an accomplishment? Of course not. It was impossible for an entire planet to recuperate within the ten years he had spent in the Ghost Zone. Thus, he could easily and correctly assume he was the only one who did so.

"I'm sorry?" he asked in a somewhat condescending, mock-horror tone. "I'm sorry, but I don't know how to take that," he said. He obviously took it as an insult, but Dan wanted to hold off until his target was caught. And he decided to disregard the 'wind' comment. Probably a trip over words, seeing as he was still--Dan mentally shuddered--merely human.

((OOC: XD Smooth. Dan's not controlled by emotions, so it's sometimes hard to write him...hee. But Dan was only in one episode, even if it was one hour. No 'most recent,' my friend.))

Had he been able to, Hayate would have probably argued with Dan's train of thought, after all, there was Fenrir to take into consideration for the 'eternal epitome of doom and destruction' title, and by no means was he a child where he was from. He returned his attention to the more interesting and polite journal conversation with a knight looking for her own group of Knights.

The intensified wind which had thrown his hair up into sharp spikes had dropped slightly to a confused breeze that swept his hair smooth, and ruffled the grass around them. Still enough to manipulate, but considerably less rushed.

He was slightly irritated by the condescendng voice, but continued with the level tone, "Take it however you wish." He was more focused on the journal in his lap than the person in front of him(well, he assumed it was a person). In fact, it was very likely that his guard was down a bit at the moment with his focus nearly completely on the journal in his lap.

[[OOC: >>; then apparently I must have missed the ending of said episode ( ... )

Dan growled at Hayate. How dare he be so cool about this matter?! Did he know he was facing the King, the ruler, the DESTROYER of two worlds?! Had he known, Dan doubted that Hayate would still be as fearless. No, of course he wouldn't.

The wind quickened, only making Dan's flaming hair grow larger as it swayed. Growling and baring his fangs, he ignited his fist with a good, concentrated flame of ectoplasmic fire. The flames grew and licked at his body to no avail. Dan nearly punched, but then realised:

He was no one. He was out to get Danny Fenton. Destruction on the way was nice...but if he kept stalling like this, he'd never get that naive little pre-pubescent little twit of a--

Dan put out his fire, his face going neutral.

((OOC: Hum. That must suck...as for TUE (the only episode Dan was in), it's available on YouTube if you want. ^_^ Have fun! XD))

Being a Leafe Knight didn’t mean being fearless. It just meant sticking one’s ground and never running away from a problem, even if it could or would kill you. Personally, Hayate believed it was better to die for what you believed in and had vowed to protect, than to run and live while everything you wanted to protect was no more. A Leafe Knight never really believes in self-preservation. Just in the preservation of the world as a whole and the preservation of the life of at least one young knight to lead the next generation(although Hayate wouldn’t likely admit the need for that second part on his own ( ... )

Dan bared his teeth angrily at the boy's comment. He wanted to destroy him, make him nothing more than a charred flattened bit of human, but he was here for Danny. Danny alone, no reason to do anything otherwise.

Angered, he created another ectoplasmic fire in his hand and threw it at the ground, somewhat of a warning. He stalked off, his flaming hair growing taller in rage.

There was no reason to deal with him, he told himself. He had to stop destroying everything and everyone. It was aimless...and now that he was here in this...place, this isolated place, here was his younger self, just a simple sitting duck to finish his job. And after all, that was the purpose of the original mission.

So why waste time on low little creatures like him?

After watching the odd element melting and burning some of the ground nearby, he returned to the journal. Perhaps he was wrong about endurance, he decided to himself, returning to the journal as the person stalked off.

He was intrigued by the fact that someone else had commented on his messageboard post. Noting the one that appeared first when he clicked the link he managed a small smile. Tulip-Head with her usual argument of not calling her Tulip-Head. And a bit of confusion at the fact that he had ended up with...the Prétear apparently being from a different time than himself himself.

He stood up, well, he was a Leafe Knight and that did mean taking care of the Prétear...so he would have to find some way of getting on the train...He wondered if someone had something about that, as unfortunately his money was with his other outfit and apparently he couldn't change his knight one. And sure enough, someone had posted saying to look around at one's surroundings for shiny material among the fake grass....
