Rin had positioned himself against the door, where he had placed a table on its side so the back was flat against it. His katana was still out, blade prepared, and his other hand was resting on his side to stop the blood flow. He didn't realize it was that bad until he had stopped talking to Linali to assess the situation. "Hm... white things all over the place," he began talking to himself idly, drumming his fingers on the hilt of his sword under the tsuba. "Bleeding, bruising... good day so far." He said sarcastically, bitterly. However, he shifted somewhat so that his blue-green eyes could peer over the top of the table and through the broken window out to the street ( ... )

"Rin-san!" she gasped, relieved to find him. As he bid, she swiftly slipped into the empty home. Taking a seat beside him, she pulled down her med kit, unzipping it and extracting the shirt she had promised. It was a deep red, like ruby wine. She laid it onto her lap and took out balls of cotton and peroxide and gauze. She smiled at him with soft eyes, frowning sympathetically.

"Ready for your treatment, dear patient?"

Rin waited for her to enter before he slid the table against the door again after shutting it, positioning his sword carefully against one of the legs and sitting his journal aside him. Blue-green eyes followed Linali as she sat down, before he smiled warmly though a bit forced due to his irritation and worry.

"I must thank you again, Linali-chan. Risking your safety and coming to help me..." he wasn't even going to ask how she got out of there without Gunzi tagging along. If attached to someone, he noticed that he didn't often leave them. He pulled his jacket off the shoulder he had rested it on, placing it on another leg of the table to dangle. After this he pulled his shirt partway off, over the shoulder on his left since that was where the bite or scratch or whatever that thing had left behind was. "Ready whenever you are, doctor."

"It's nothing, Rin-san. Just doing what a friend would," she smiled, unfolding a towel. Linali stood on her knees as Rin uncovered the wound. She grimaced at the sight of all that blood. "Ooh.. that's deeper than I expected..." she winced as if she was the one wounded, which on an emotional level, she was. She pressed the white towel against the cuts, holding it down gently as she poured some cool water to dampen the dried blood and clean it off effectively.

Once cleaned, Linali took out a square of cotton moist with peroxide. "This might sting!" she warned; then wet each incision with the clear liquid. "After that dries, I'll put some betadine. Your injuries aren't profound enough to require stitching, thankfully. Here, the shirt I promised." She handed the newly-bought cotton. It was one of the shirts she bought for Gunzi, but he had not worn it yet.

Gunzi... I hope he saw my note. Hmm, I'll check my journal in a bit.

"It was deeper than I expected as well," Rin said idly, smirking a little and scratching at his blonde hair with his non-bloody hand. He hardly even twitched when she put the peroxide on, though his lip did curl up a little. He was well adjusted to pain, but the sting of the clear liquid did provoke something out of him. "That's good at least. I wouldn't watch the stitches to rip or anything if I got in another fight..." Rin would probably open his wounds if he fought, though, but he wouldn't think of that ( ... )

Dropping the used and bloody towel in a ziplock bag and doing the same with Rin's orange shirt, Linali rolled them into a corner of her bag. She checked the floor, making sure that she had everything, and zipped the kit closed. She then took out her own journal. It was that same moment she saw the blonde man scowl. Concerned, Linali leaned over to him. "Something wrong, Rin-san? Does the gauze bother you? --! I hear them... we should go soon, Rin-san."

".... No," Rin said lightly, eyes softening only when they looked over towards her. However, they narrowed a little when he glanced back to his journal. "I... I told Shiki we were going to find him... And I hadn't meant to, but I told him you knew Gunzi..." he seemed to pout and frown at the same time, and somewhat looked like a kicked puppy. Shaking his head, he shut his journal after assuring Shiki he would come look for him anyways.

He smiled a little however and pulled the the red shirt on now. "Linali-chan, we should go... but I'm not sure I should go with you... Niisan... Niisan is near Muspelheim. But he and Gunzi don't get along at all..." Rin was torn in two at the moment; he wanted to face his teenage fear of Gunzi and go with Linali because she was a nice girl, but he needed to help his brother. He needed to.

Linali's fist tightened over her lap. Her brows knitted, frustrated. The soft expression he gave only aggravated her. It was clear he was drawing an unwanted line. "But... well, you don't have to stay with me and Gunzi. I'll assign a separate room in a separate wing, and I'll keep Gunzi from bothering Shiki. I promise! Please? And beside.. Muspelheim is so far, and you're wounds are freshly dressed."

She cast her eyes to the floor, pensive. She sat silently, going over options in her head. She did not want Rin to go over there as he was, but she didn't want to be selfish either. This was his brother after all. She signed resignedly. "I...I understand how you feel... in that case, I'll take you as close to Muspelheim as I could!" She stood, grinning and offering a hand for Rin to help himself up with. "Let's go to the roof. We can get out more easily that way."

Rin listened to her a moment, pulling his jacket back on and then putting his journal into an inner pocket close to his body. He smiled now at her words, reaching over towards his sword and shifting to stand. It didn't take him long, it wasn't that difficult for him to move despite the wound. It was only his side, after all. But... he had to be careful anyways he supposed.

"I'll think about the idea of seperate rooms, Linali-chan." He kept the smile, tilting his head to look over at her. "But it's up to how Shiki reacts..." he shook his katana off, just in case anything was on it, before sliding it with expertise across the top of his scabbard to slide into it. "Let's go see niisan, then." He grinned a little, although it wasn't full-heartily. His brother would strangle him, wouldn't he?

Nodding, she went ahead and ascended the cement stairs to the top floor. she spared a moment to look around and glance out the window while waiting for Rin to catch up. It was empty like all the others, except the walls weren't painted and there were no curtain poles atop each window. Inhaling, she smelled the scent of wood--wood? Linali raised her head. Those must be the stairs leading to the roof! She moved towards a wall. "Aha!" she chimed. The board was lacking a rope, but it had a semicircle cut on one end. She positioned herself right below; then sprung up, grabbing hold of the detachable stairs.

Success!

The wind rushed in, blowing her hair fiercely. The girl quickly questioned herself what floor she was on. Well, no matter. She smiled at Rin who was now on the same floor, feeling accomplished. "I'll warn you now that we'll be going pretty fast and pretty high," she said with a playful grin.
