Still, something didn't make sense about this. Why did her rune begin to react all of a sudden? The imposter mentioned being nearby, but Chris failed to see how that person could be the one responsible for making her rune react like it was. After all, most of the ones capable of doing that were dead. And yet it reacted more and more the closer she got to the Muspelheim gates.
There was no way that the impostor was actually telling the truth and that it really was Yun... Of course not. There had to be a perfectly reasonable explanation for all this, one that didn't involve spirits coming back to life.
And was determined to get it, one way or another when she would finally reach the gates.

She stood up when she saw Chris approach and, smiling, strode forward to meet her.
"It's good to see you again, Chris," Yun greeted, her grin widening. "So, do you believe me now?"

The event was still fresh in her mind... She was in Alma Kinan with Nash and the others, keeping Luc, Sarah, and Yuber from interfering in the very ritual she despised. It was to unseal the True Water Rune, and it required Yun to sacrifice herself for it to be successful. Chris was able to repel Luc and when the battle was over, Yun was no more. After that, Yun appeared to her again as a spirit in the Sindar Temple housing the True Water Rune.
But that was the last time Chris ever saw her, and yet... here was Yun standing right in front of her, like nothing was wrong at all.
"Y-Yun?! Is that... Is that really you?" said Chris, her face showing an expression of shock and disbelief. She then shook her head. "This has to be some kind of illusion, it has to be. I saw you become a sacrifice with my own eyes!"

The last thing she could remember before coming to the city was a bright, almost blinding light, followed by complete darkness. And when she opened her eyes, she found herself standing, living in Paixao, rather than existing as a spirit in the forest. The whole situation was confusing for her, and a little unsettling.
She sighed, shook her head, and looked back up at the taller woman. "I'm here. Something brought me to this place -- and you, as well. Fate is hard at work, I imagine..."
There was a brief pause before she grinned, suddenly, in an attempt to lift the mood. "Another opportunity to meet with you, see new places... It's not so bad, really."

But she still couldn't help but have doubts. Wanting to be absolutely positive it was her, Chris hesitantly began to reach for Yun's head. She let her armored hand rest there for a moment, and watched as the True Water Rune began to react stronger than it ever had so far.
There was no way it would react this way if she was just an illusion.
"It really is you..." said Chris, continuing to let her hand rest on Yun's head, patting it several times. She would've said more, but her head was full of different thoughts and emotions.
Once again, Chris was stupefied at what had happened. Although she did managed to come up with at least one thing to say.
"I'm sorry I didn't believe you, Yun."

Her gaze shifted toward Chris's hand, and she frowned thoughtfully. So the rune had been reacting to her... it must have been Wyatt. Yun wanted to make mention of it, but -- no, maybe later. Chris was shaken up enough already.
Instead, she said, simply: "I'm glad I got to see you again."

"We should find a place to stay before it gets any colder. I don't want you to get sick here, Yun."

"I'll be fine, but... ah, you're right." She nodded her head and glanced around her, frowning thoughtfully. "I suppose the question now is where...?"
Reply
"We might as well walk around until we find a place to stay. Or maybe ask some of the locals for directions. What do you think?"

Without waiting for a response, she zipped off to wave down a friendly-looking passerby. Greetings were exchanged, Yun smiled and asked questions; the stranger pulled out his journal and tapped a few of its buttons while she looked on curiously... After a few minutes of questions and answers and pointing at things on the journal's screen, Yun beamed and bowed her head politely before running back to where she'd left Chris standing.
"Okay! Sorry about that, but I know where to go, now." She opened up her own journal, pulled up the map, and showed it to Chris. "These journals are capable of so much, it's incredible! Anyway... here, look at this map. The closest inn is about a mile from here, I think -- Morem o Lisboa."
Again, she smiled. "Shall we?"
Reply
"One mile... okay. Let's go."
Chris grabbed Yun's hand and gently held on to it.
"And please stay close to me. No running off like that again, okay? I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if something happened to you." Needless to say, after being reunited with her, Chris was more than a little protective of Yun right now.

"Oh, I'm sorry," she instead replied, chuckling. "I don't want to make you worry! I don't think there's much for us to worry about at the moment, though."
