Sounding like a high-speed firework, she came towards the ground--and landed. Another dust cloud--much larger than that of her departure--smoked the street, but it soond cleared. Sweeping away the dust with gloved hands, Linali frowned embarassedly. The touchdown was not as smooth as she hoped it would be. The cobblestones, as the Chinese examined, had parted and formed a ring around her. She looked up to see some people sprawled across the stairs leading into the hotel, or huddled against some other object like a bench.
My, my, what looks did she not get. She laughed shyly, bringing a finger to her mouth.

The noise had come from just up ahead, near his destination. Thankfully, he wasn't the only exorcist here with a decent sense of direction. With that in mind, he continued at his own pace towards the Actua Are hotels, knowing that Linali would wait there if she didn't see him immediately.
And if she bothered to come with such speed, she must have been anticipating a wait anyways.

The exorcist placed a hand on the smooth wood, glancing at the Lost & Found shelf against the wall in front of her.
"Hello! My name is Linali Li, and I'm looking for someone by the name of Rabi..."
"Oh! Let me check the register." The receptionist beamed, immediately taking out a thick leather-covered book with metal corners.
"Thank you," she responded with appreciation. As the formally-dressed woman scanned the check-in log, Linali turned to look around the cozy hotel. It was a comfortable place; the warm colors and lighting brought a relaxing feeling. It was also cooler in the building with its psuedo-marble floors. The Chinese's heels clicked as she shifted her weight, looking from one side to the other. Wonder who long Rabi's been here. I forgot to ask.The round-faced receptionist harrumphed, ( ... )
