I'm sorry I don't really understand what you mean by using a stock image. Is there any way I can see an example of this? I apologize for being a bit slow :|

A stock image, I guess, would be best described as an image of nature or real life, which is not related to fandom or famous people. A stock image would be an image of clouds, fire, flowers, houses, and whatnot. In the Twilight fandom, I've seen some icons with a stock image of a piano and the icon has text from the first book or like the icon I'm using now with the actors pasted onto a stock image of a forest.

Here are some examples. The use of clouds, moons/stars, and fire is very popular. Notebook paper and crossword puzzles are also popular.

Thank you so much for the examples. I think understand now :)

So basically any imagine from that site can be used or do they all of to be realistic images? Like paper, fire, or anything in nature?

If it's a stock image, it should be fine. :)
