I really like the fact that you set this at Lila's so we get to see everyone's reactions. The characters are perfectly in character with Gladys so out her element, but not wanting to lose her son even if she does not approve of his choices. Lila is ever the gracious hostess while Aaron is accepting and forgiving. His gentleness really comes through here. Christian, of course, is protective and cynical with a chip on his shoulder - understandably so.

This was a nice read and I hope the beginning of some fence building/relationship repair.

Lila's the only place that felt right, it's the nexus of the whole movie doing it anywhere else would have just been wrong.

Lila and Aaron were easy but Gladys and Christian, trying to figure out how's they deal with each other, that's hard and I'm so glad they felt in character.

It will be, it's going to take time but part of Aaron's family will come around and he has in Christian wrapped around his finger even if he doesn't know it so Christian will forgive Gladys some day

One of the things I really like about Latter Days is how it keeps coming back to Lila's and everything ties together there.

Christian and Gladys is a hard dynamic for a lot of reasons and canonly you get only one brief glimpse under extenuating circumstances. Aaron totally has Christian wrapped around his little finger.

yes, the dots all coming together, I loved that.

yeah that moment was just wow. but it shows so much about them both I'm so glad they ended up doing it the movie would have been less without.

and the best part is Aaron doesn't even know.

Love this :) You got each of the characters' voices perfectly and I love that Aaron's mom decided it was more important to have her son in her life than to alienate him for his sexuality.

I'm so glad you found them in character that was the hardest part of this story.

to be fair to the writer Gladys decision was based on something that he(Jay Cox) said about her in the commentary, he said in five years she’d be a PFLAG mother and that just gave me this ide, how would she get there, how would she start.

Agian I'm glad you liked it

What a lovely little fix it for Aaron. Although I know he loves his created family, it's nice to see his mom making an effort. And yay! for Christian making her work for his forgiveness.

Aaron's hearts big enough for both families. and Christian is so not going to make it easy on her
