You can almost see the strings falling from the sky, twisting around his limbs and whispering the word ‘marionette’ into your mind (he plays the game, you play the game, you both end up with strings). The strings jerk; he’s not playing anymore, he’s buckling under pressure and exhaustion and the song is still there - in pleading in his eyes, let me play again, let me play, let me love.
