It is SO LOVELY to have Mum and Dad here, to have long ranging talks of hours' duration about Oxford and the past and childhood and memories. I can't believe I actually get to share Oxford with them, and it will make it so much easier for me when we go home to have more people who understand what I'll be missing ( Read more... )

Goodness me, Damsons take me way back as before the age of 7 I lived on a small farmlet and we had a damson tree. My mother used to make jam but because they were so small it was nigh on impossible to get the stones out so one had to contend with lots of stones on a piece of bread! Nice flavour though. The pics are fab, your parents look so well!I can imagine what a lovely catch up it must of been for you all. Its nice to see them finally over there as well.I imagine there must of been some serious trips down memory lane for both of them as they took in al teh difernt scens around ozfrod adn further afield and in your wanderings.
