I have kidney stones. Or at least a kidney stone. Or maybe it's testicular cancer, but it's probably kidney stones. Fuck. At least I went to Med Link, which is hella cheaper than the ER ($20 as opposed to $2000...yeah ( Read more... )

Wow! Stones are really painfull to pass. Soak in a hot tub helps the back pain associated with them. Usually they strike fast, you want to bend over in pain, pass a little blood with the stone and they are gone! Did they give you a strainer? Anne passes a couple a month, and Uncle Chris has ended up going to the VA Hospital and they gave him morphine until he can get in to Augusta to have more tests done. Something in his chemistry makeup causes him to have both kidneys chock full of stones. Gall stones are different, and cause nausea along with the pain. They can be avoided by not eating rich foods. Kidney stones are sometimes made from excess calcium in your body or tanic acid buildup. They can be caused several different ways. Anyway, sorry for the pain.

Wow, I am sooo sorry, David. I can't imagine a worse time for this to have happened either. Good luck and get well soon and I'm glad I got to spend some time with you before that happened!

Well, the good news is twofold...I get Loritab, and I'm able to function (if not drive) while on said loritab. So it's not like I'll be missing much work or anything. Although, pissing through a tea strainer kind of blows.

Oh, and I had a wonderful time while you were here. It has once more turned into a horrible sausage fest now that you and Ivy are gone. *sigh*

Well, the way I see it, it could be a hell of a lot worse. It appears the gods have selected us to entertain them for the time being. C'est la vie. There's always tomorrow, and all that other optimistic bullshit.

Actually, I'm not horribly upset, merely....It's more like, "Yeah, that sucks. Oh well." I supose I'm resigned to my fate. OR something.

Ok, well, I hate to say i told you so (hehe, ok, no I don't) but...stop drinking sodas and eating little debbie three meals a day and maybe you'll be a little more healthy.

Meh. It hasn't been too bad since Friday morning. I kind of wish it would hurry up and hurt like hell, so I can take my Lortab and pass the bugger. Also, the size of the holes on the tea strainer scare me....If it can catch what I have to pass....Ow. Just...ow.
