Stupid Healthcare System

So..last night around 8ish I started having some pain on my right side. Andrew and I thought it was kind of odd, but we figured it'd go away and probably wasn't any big deal. Well, the pain was pretty excruciating and continued into the night. I took some sleepy meds to konk out and woke up this morning still feeling pretty terrible. I decided

Yeah, it's pretty screwed up. You should have heard Andrew: "can't SOMEONE see my wife? She's in a lot of pain and don't you care!?!?" It was pretty funny, aside from the being in pain part.

Doc thinks it fractured because of repetitive movement at work. Can you believe it?

That's just frakked. They couldn't, I don't know, tape you up or anything?

Nah, I asked and doc said that binding will restrict my breathing which is bad. Anyway, I gotta take it easy and make sure to go to the hospital if I see any signs of infection/pneumonia/increased breathing problems.

He's a good guy. I really am very lucky. And yes, I am trying really hard to be careful.

We're looking forward to hanging out with Dad, at least for a little while before he has to get back out on the road!

The health system is a wreck! Yet, even with HMO, it's better than nothing. It's just very frustrating when you need to see someone and you can't.
