we are now awaiting our brand spanking new sat-nav. i tried to make him bide his time for a bargain but you know men........too damn impatient lol. he insisted i hand over the money i got from my books and he put it in the ebay account and immediatly bought one on buy it now.
still i will be able to get to some meet ups now.

ive managed to sell a boxload of specialist interest books i had owned for many years.  i have read all of them at least once and i didnt really want them anymore due to the fact that they were taking up space that could be used for other items, they were collecting dust, and the fact that i doubt i would read them again.i got about £50 for the ( Read more... )

i stubbed my little toe in the night. i was doing my nightly visit to the grand room and as usual was half asleep. but this time i managed to hit my poor little toe on the corner of the door. it made me cry like a baby, there i was sobbing my heart out and it woke hubby so he came out and gave me a big hug and checked toe for damage. i really ( Read more... )

i need to get the hang of my fruit smoothie machine. each time i blend a mix, i add enough fruitjuice to make it runny enough to drink, but them when i get the jug out the fridge to pour some more later, it seems to set like a jelly and i have to eat it with a spoon instead.

*sniffs* one of my fave music tapes has been chewed up by a rabid new machine. i should have expected it really cos its an ancient tape. its just that i havent played my tapes for a few years now because my old tape player died after years of faithful service and cds were better  to use. most of my decent music collection i had on tapes were ( Read more... )

Jack just did his first real giggle. I was playing with him and he started to giggle. I was so shocked i just stopped what i was doing and looked flabbbergasted. I'm so proud :-)

just realised, the money that would have sped up the savings to purchase the sat-nav was spent the other day on jack. he has some kids songs and storys on tapes and cds given to him at xmas. and i suddenly remembered the portable tape player i was going to let him have died 2 years ago. so i sent hubby out to buy him a cheap portable tape player ( Read more... )
