I'll admit I've kind of been pondering the whole "there is still good in him" line -- because I'm kind of obsessive that way. XD -- and what it might mean, but I have to say, your explanation is probably the best one. :)

I guess, its a symbol for Anakin's beginning innocence. Padme no doubt, given the circumstances, thought everyone involved in the drama needed to be reminded that Anakin came into the world the exact same way Luke did, innocent and pure. A clean slate, untainted & fresh for life. I guess that's why that excerpt was written the way it was written, as well as the certain scene it was placed in, Padme' having just graced her son with his destiny & all ( ... )

Agreed. Also, come to think of it, the japor snippet symbolises love and friendship as well. Explains a lot, I guess. ;)
