Well.....last night was pretty much a clusterfuck. Took Jess in to work after we stopped at Reasors for some cheap sushi. After that i went to Wal-Mart to get some household junk for my apartment. Sophie did her usual little thing of making me wait a few minutes before she would start in the Wal-mart parking lot. No big deal. I took her to a ( Read more... )

Perhaps it's the fuel pump. Almost every one of my cars did that same thing - sounds like it's not getting gas. Dad said it was the fuel pump or the fuel filter. The filter is easily replaced, but the pump is a little more complicated. Car troubles suck. Makes me wish for ye old Wagon Days.

I'm sorry to hear about Sophie's condition, and I hope it's nothing fatal. Losing a four-wheeled friend can be very painful...not to mention inconvenient.

A few sad memories.... paddle_or_die February 9 2006, 17:37:06 UTC
Yeah, i know. When the rust-monster first took a bite out of my little red wagon back in my childhood it was pretty traumatic. That time we got lucky though and worked a miracle cure with duct-tape, bondo and toothpicks. The next time....well, it wasn't pretty. Poor Little Red, she came limping home, telling me her axle was hurting and both her left wheels felt a little funny. I was always telling her to be careful playing in the road but apparently this time she'd messed with a pot-hole that was just too big for her. Her paint job immune system was still weak from her bout with rust before and this injury on top of that was just more than she could handle. There was nothing we could do; all the duct-tape, bondo and toothpicks in this world could never have made Little Red whole like she was before. Her quality of life would have declined so badly and i just couldn't bear to think of her limping around the driveway, safe only for short rolls on flat ground in good weather and only properly supervised to make sure she didn't ( ... )

Man, that sucks. My mom had car trouble all summer long. I hope that Sophie doesn't have a reoccuring injury. :(
