I'm sure Rodney would be up to it if he had a compelling enough reason, say, a bunch of Wraith threatening to kill him...or, a large quantity of chocolate cake and fruit cups. ;)

It's not the most pleasant thing in the world, but you're tough. You'll be all right. :) Best advice: keep lots of ice packs handy, they work about as good as the pain meds (better in my case...I told you about my loopy-on-ibuprofen experience didn't I?) ;)

I remember having my wisdom teeth pulled and that it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but then I was so doped I thought I was dreaming (Valum, yay!). All I recall is the sensation of my teeth being scraped. Then the next thing I knew, the dentist was done - no pain, nothing.

The aftermath, however... it wasn't terrible, just unpleasent, but short lived after a day or two. Just, uh, make sure to sleep on your side and have something handy to spit in. The less you swallow, the better :P.

Other than that, it wasn't the horror story I was lead to believe it was. And the dentist let me keep my teeth:D (Yeah, I'm morbid that way.) So you'll be fine.

But I agree, beaming technology would have been much nicer ;)

I absolutely would if I could. I have a dentist phobia, so if it was me, I wouldn't sleep tonight - I'd lay awake worrying myself into a stomach ache. Hopefully you aren't that bad. Anyway, I hope they give you good drugs and the bad part is over before you know it. Maybe you could be like John on codeine.
