meat and dairy and anything containing milk, eggs, cheese, animal products... i also gave up white sugar, white flour, white bread, etc. no caffeine, coffee, soda
i'm trying to stay as far away from sugar as possible.
i'm eating a lot of rice, pasta, fruits and veggies, peanut butter!, cereal with soy milk... etc... i haven't cooked anything reallly unusual yet, like tofu or quinoa.. but i'm making pecan cookies tomorrow after work with quinoa and i'm really excited :) i love quinoa, it has lots of protein and it's really yummy.
yea. i hope that doesn't sound boring, because it's not. it's all really yummy and i never feel deprived. i like eating this way.
nope, not boring. happy you found something that works so well! i could never gave up that stuff, since i cook for mark. im sure it would help marks tummy out.
it's crazy what this lifestyle can do for you! you just feel better, too. and i seriously can't wait for you to eat a club sandwhich from follow your heart. it's so good you'll die.
yummm i can't wait either :) there's only one vegan/vegetarian place around here and it's over 30 miles away. i'm not willing to drive that far just for one meal. argh.
there's not a whole lot of options here as far as vegan food goes.. there are no health food stores and the grocery store's heath food section is the size of my living room. so my mom's sending me a boat load of yummy food... like chocolate, which is completely unavailable here!
but yea, i feel sooooo good these days! it's hard to explain it!
milk chocolate isn't vegan, so there goes all the good name brand candy.. and the dark chocolate i've been looking at has milk too. i'm having no luck. the only kind of chocolate i've been eating is silk soy chocolate milk and 100 cal pack oreos which are surprisingly vegan. i guess i could buy chocolate chips, like the baking kind... those usually don't have milk.
