What is your most pleasant memory of your mother, or a mother figure in your life?

[ooc: doubles as possible action log for roommates 8)]

chilluns, to be a mother, memories

Why are you asking that stuff?

Thoughts of mothers have been on my mind, as of late.

Does it bother you?

No...I don't know.

Are mothers a sensitive subject?

Not...really. [How to explain...]

Um, my mother was...a nice person, I guess. But she wasn't very..."motherly."

Umm...I told you about it before, right? How everyone said I had to become a great sibylla. Mother said that the most. Because I was a "prodigy", she always said I had to work hard and be the best. And she was always showing me off and bragging to her friends...

But she never really talked about anything else, or asked about what I wanted...she just kept telling me to work harder, ever since I was little.

...I'm sorry, Limone.

Sometimes parents do strange, misguided things.

She wasn't...mean. She just...

[Awkward pause.]

But, I liked being able to please her, and have her praise me...she always smiled a lot whenever I was good.

[poor Limone 8(]

Having her approval was important to you.

Well...she was my mother, so...

She was lucky, to have such a daughter as you.

[bluuush. Doesn't know how to respond to that. And after a bit;]

Er...if there's someone who's...not really a mother, but she makes you feel that way, uhm...is that okay too?

Of course. Someone you look on as a mother doesn't have to be related by blood. Sometimes, the best mothers never are.
