Actually, his official canon size at 15 was something like 5'2" and 98lb. However, I have rarely ever met a 15 year old boy who is only 5' tall, and having been 5'3"/120 (which is goddamn thin) in my much younger years, I know there is just about no way he could be that size, and definitely not with the muscle he's supposed to have. So I always viewed him as something like 5'5" and 140 or so. Since he's been around long enough to have turned 18 in November, he's obviously grown a lot, which leads to his height and weight as I have listed it. :)
They have not played chess yet, as Trowa has not really played it at all in-game, and he really should. Also, yes, he would like to learn, although he wouldn't have Bakura's skill for the artistic part of it--he would be able to construct some complicated (if rough-looking) structures though. :)
