You really should finish Red Dead if you haven't, and then try the zombie add-on. It's quite good, and adds lots of extra material. Very effective use of weather effects to turn the same landscape quite different, and lots of extensions to the characters and story line.

But yes, the Mass effect games are great. I played #1 through as a totally ruthless human-supremacist female Shepherd, and then a male Paladin type who was as ugly as the character creator would allow. The former was more fun, so that's the only one I brought into #2.
