The reactions were very positive. The commenters said it was an informative article -- one had read slash fics for fun but never thought about the phenomenon any further, one pondered on how slash and erotic fanfiction in general may be linked to sexual awakening (interesting viewpoint, in my opinion, since usually slash is linked to middle-aged women more than teenagers, in the papers I mean) and how RPF is an old genre of literature. One said she'd just read a slash fic about Richard Dawkins and Douglas Adams and had found it disturbing, which, well, is a justified reaction, but I'm not sure what she meant by it.

I suppose it was mostly people who were already into slash who read and commented.
