I'm glad you didn't make Noah the bad guy in your story, I know their relationship wasn't healthy but he wasn't a bad guy, they just were hurting each other because they weren't meant to be and trying too hard...
Thanks. Yeah, they weren't right for each other. And while I do blame Noah for hurting Luke - especially all the pushing away and the judging - I can see him growing up and learning to love someone for real. (Just as Luke needed to grow up, but in different ways).
that final luke and noah scene had me a little teary. but, it's for the best. as i've said before i don't dislike noah. i just thought near the end, that he just wasn't right for luke. he always expected way to much of luke. anyway, neither here nor there. this was a much better ending for those two. and, in time, i think that noah will be able to look back on this time and smile. smile, because he remembered what he and luke had, and, eventually maybe forge some sort of friendship.
i'm so glad that luke finally realized that he doesn't have to be perfect all the time. he just needs to be luke. with the good and the bad, he just needs to be himself. "But he was human, with his strengths and weakness, and this version of himself was the only version there was. And he was just who he was supposed to be." that, that right there, just sums it all up. those are some very true words.
Thank you. I've always had a soft spot for Luke, and especially understood his constant feeling of never being enough, especially in his relationship with Noah...and so this was really important to me, to have Luke reach a point where he could love and accept himself just exactly as he is.

I would go so far as to say most people, unfortunately.
