This is really sad. I'm disappointed in him, too, and hope his bandmates are learning from this, and don't fall into the same thing.
At least he's getting the help he needs. And the fact that he's not pushing himself to do the tour and promote the new album at the expense of his health is good. If they were crazy and obsessed with money and fame, they would have waited until the flurry was over.
This may have been part of the problem that was contributing to the stress the band was under during the making of Under the Iron Sea. Now it's being taken care of. He was brave enough to come out about it when he did. Try not to worry too much, PA. He's in good hands.
