Today, Belinda and I went to the Orient. Little did we know, it was to be a dark, tumultuous journey into the heart of awkwardness itself, in which we would narrowly escape solely by the altruism and trust of one sprightly, happy fellow.

I read that last paragraph as you and Belinda sitting next to some akward high schoolers, rather than the teachers. Re-reading the paragrah, I think it's a much more humorous to think that high schoolers, " [neither] of them recognized us or cared enough to say anything."

Wow. At Your Choice Thai Cuisine, my friends and mine favorite Thai restaurant, their is an employee who we affectionately refer to as 'happy guy' (occasionally 'friendly guy', but you get the point.)

Maybe there is a conspiracy involving nice people working as Asian food restaurants.

To think: another happy guy ...

More strangely would be another Weird Guy, mainly because his defining trait is saying, "more water" in this bizarre, high-pitched, British-ish voice.

He also tends to awkwardly laugh when we laugh, which ... it's just weird.
