Well, you never have to do anything. They might (and probably do, if the nature of the relationship is casual sex) expect it, but I would personally be inclined to plead ignorance. Which you would have the right to do. After all, they've asked you to go to the theatre, not to their bedroom.
Not sure actually. He may expect sex because that is what you always do, but if it is a different occasion from usual (dinner theatre, rather than shag), it may be a sign that he wants your current arrangement to become more serious.

Agree with Rachel and Jon. Expectation is completely his... and doesn't mean you should or shouldn't sleep with him. That's completely a personal decision.
If you feel you're being put in a tight spot, I would recommend you don't go to these pseudo dates with him. But as Jon says, he could be liking ya. So maybe think about what that would mean for you.
