This pairing took me completely by surprise, but they just get each other. Realistically speaking I don't think they have a shot in the future, bc so much can happen to Erica in 10 years and no one should put their life on hold. But on the other hand, there definitely are ways to make them work within the "sci-fi" aspect of the show.
