Goliath beat David. And just *barely*. A stacked team, on home ice, in a country claiming the sport as its own defeated the youngest team in the tournament. In overtime. After losing previously 5-3.

Also, the US holds the record for most golds at an Olympics...*points to 83 at 1984 summer games*

Now, New Orleans after the Super Bowl... :3

Bitter much, we won at our own game and NO the US does not hold the record for golds at winter Olympics :)

What reason do I have to be bitter? The US did fantastic, exceeded expectations. They weren't even supposed to *medal*, let alone piss on Canada's parade. And Chicagoans should be even more proud, the Blackhawks sent more players to the Olympics than any other team, and were represented on BOTH sides of the gold medal game.

In the '84 Summer games, the US won 83 gold medals, the 'most in history' (your own words). If you had said 'most in Winter games' I wouldn't bother to bring this detail up. :3

Canada's athletes had some pretty stellar performances in Vancouver, I actually feel bad for some of those 13 other gold medalists who are being overshadowed by the hockey team's lukewarm, as-expected, unsurprising victory.

Where are all the insane, the homeless, and the drug addicts that usually roam Vancouver's downtown? :D
