I'll be wearing Armani and carrying a book about Cezanne
Loved that, baited breath, a horrible kind of sanity, Norrie's navigational trick, and chubby!Jack, although I'm glad he slims down when he's doing what he's meant to do. *g*
Wonderful story - I'm so happy to see more of them in the 21st century, and Norrie alive and well ♥
A holiday season treat! More Powder Monkey at last!
And with your usual sly humor. "Baited" breath indeed! And Hector as a "pet shark" and named Hannibal Barber--so naughty!
Like Djarum, I'm glad Jack got back to his slim, wiry self.
And as you sometimes do, you slip a hint of layered emotion into what is on the surface broad slapstick. James and his lost Caroline, the desperation under Jack's chatter, and no, Barbossa never quite changes his spots...
More iz coming Pliz? *Hopeful, gleaming beady mouse eyes*
More *iz* coming. It's just slow. I have this think called work, and two things called children... But there will be more. And another Nut as well if I can just find the TIME. I'm glad you mentioned Jack's desperation. It's kind of only half there because he'd never acknowledge it, but I really think easy living would be very hard of Captain Sparrow. But he'll be better now he's lost weight and gained James.
I'm with ladymouse2--YAY MORE POWDERMONKEY AT LAST!
I love and adore this. Mind you, I liked "Once Upon A Time In the Twenty-First Century" a lot too, but I feel you've enlarged wonderfully upon that idea. Over here I'm just beaming. Probably my favorite concept here is Norrington's use of low cunning.
I will read dark threesome in nineteenth-century Paris whenever it comes along. Right now, what I've been told about and not seen is Barbossa at his personal worst. I want to take a look at that. Plz, kthnxbai.
Norrington has more low cunning than he often gets credit for. He was so crafty in DMC, even through his hangover, never fooled for a minute by Jack and instantly figuring out what was in the jar. I thought it was time he used his cunning to be *nice* to Jack for a change.
I'm not sure I want to do Barbossa at his personal worst because all the other characters would be dead. But he's possibly at his personal craziest in the half-written Paris fic, so hopefully that will keep the buffalo happy.
"So? I killed Hector off in the first, and myself in the second. Didn't stop anything."
Loved this bit. Soooo happy to have you back with new fic! yay! And more in the works! Oh, goodie.
I love James calling off work to watch the dvd's. I seem to recall doing the same. *g* Love James thinking he's ice cream (I can hear Jack Davenport saying it!), Hector being 'too clean', James wrecking the navigational system, and Jack doing what he was born to do (and it has nothing to do with writing screenplays!)
Nice userpic! I've always thought Jack Davenport's comment about looking like ice cream was pure James snarkgold. Finally, I have Norrington in a timeframe where he can quote it without anachronism :-)
I had a lot of fun dragging them into the 21st century.

SQUEALLLLLL!!!
>really think easy living would be very hard of Captain Sparrow<
Indeed! I think stropping his mind on challenges and tribulations is so integral to his psyche, his well being depends on it.

GOOD!
