[It's a quiet night in Adstringendum, at a little past four in the morning. The chaos from the last event has abated, and it would appear that everyone is sleeping peacefully

[The moonlight shines brightly, and wakes Usagi. She sits up to watch it, PCD flipping through old posts by Mamoru especially, but also the missing senshi: Ami, Makoto, Minako, Hotaru.
It's while she's listening to them that she sees Faye's, and switches back to answer.]
Faye? Since we're both awake, do you want to talk awhile?
[Immediately, Faye is just a little bit startled to hear someone else's voice coming over her PCD. After all, she hadn't even been aware that it had turned on completely on its own, like it likes to do. (Although, by now, she shouldn't be surprised.)
She exhales and picks up her PCD with her free hand.]
What do you want to talk about?
[Quiet, pensive, with no trace of anything remotely resembling sarcasm. She's too tired for that.]
[It's definitely not normal, but Faye, of course, will pretend like it is. Really, doesn't everyone go up to smoke on the roof at four in the morning?]
Anything, huh?
[A somewhat distracted response, but she's still stalling.]
[Spike, always observant, wakes up to notice that Faye is not next to him. He turns to his PCD for the answers. But instead of using it to talk to her, he just uses it to find her, climbing up onto the roof with her.]

[By now, this shouldn't surprise her either. Spike was always obnoxiously observant when he wanted to be, and if she went somewhere, nine times out of ten he knew where to find her. Maybe something in her had hoped he'd find her here.
When she hears him coming, she keeps her gaze fixated up on the stars, not bothering to turn in his direction, but otherwise remaining still, only moving to shake her head in response to his question. This is her signal that, while she might have preferred to have been left alone to work out her thoughts, she's not going to refuse his company. (Which is as good as he's going to get at this point.)]
[Time Lords need very little sleep, and so the Master has been spending the last few hours boredly flipping through the PCD entries, seeing if there's anything interesting.]
[It's okay, she doesn't notice him, still looking up at the stars with that cigarette smoldering in her hand, practically almost extinguished by now. Not yet, anyway. The awkward conversation will be put off for at least another minute or two.]
[He makes a motion to talk, but in a rarity for Fran, the words just aren't coming out. Maybe it would be better to just not acknowledge this, to just let it blow over.]
[But from the way she's acting, he's not so sure of that assumption.]
[As unintelligible as it is, she hears that sound and turns toward the PCD, finally aware of his presence. She could just shut it off, but she doesn't, instead opting to simply stare with slightly widened eyes. ... She doesn't know what to say either.]
[Raven only notices the feed because her kitten made her PCD fall off the bedside table it was on in an attempt to play with the lady on screen. She picks it up.]
I like sitting on rooftops at night too. Especially when my mind's troubled.

Anything.
[Come on, Faye; she knows it's not normal to be up in the middle of the night, and you definitely look more settled about it.]

Who said anything about a troubled mind?
[Of course, Raven is right on the money. Something is indeed troubling Faye, and this isn't the first night she's been out here lately.]

Still it's obvious you cannot sleep.
