A Moment of Remembrance

Today is 9/11.  To be honest I was never really connected to the attack on the twin towers. I remember my mother camping out in front of the TV for the few weeks following the attack. I remember my third grade teacher telling us what had happened. I remember trying not to cough during a moment of silence. I remember dramatic interpretive speeches

It's weird, I remember bits and pieces. I didn't know what was happening, just that the remember the teachers weren't teaching and it wasn't until the second plane hit and they showed it on the television that I had a grasp of what was going on. I was in sixth grade.
