My instinct tells me I love this character! It's always dead on when I know absolutely nothing in advance. Where's she from?

She's from The Killing which garnered a bunch of bad press for AMC, but was actually a really enjoyable show (I watched it all in one go and found that it played really well that way). Sarah is totally the best part though. Well her and her partner Holder. :D

I am deeply fascinated by Sarah Linden, for the same reasons Mireille Enos mentions above.

Me too, she was one of my favorite characters on television this year. She's such a fascinating lady.

I've seen some hate from the tumblr crowd in particular, but weirdly it seems to be the mainstream media that give her the most flak (I've seen rants on everything from her police skills to her mothering to accusations that she's not a good partner because she didn't immediately trust Holder). It's ridiculous.
