En Su Bolsillo; Richard/Miles, PG-13, music + domesticity; part 1pann_cakeMay 11 2011, 21:06:54 UTC
(note: this is going to be a few comments, because apparently I don't know how to write commentfic, lol. And I apologize for the blatant misuse of pop songs. Also, does it count as domestic if they're away from home? XD)
It’s been a long day in the car, and Miles normally likes road trips. Jim decided to make the drive to Albuquerque, which naturally he couldn’t make alone. Claire was eager to see more of civilization, and Richard and Miles had nothing better to do, so they piled into Jim’s car and off they went. It was fun for a while, but they’ve been in the car for two days. And with Claire riding shotgun, they’ve been listening to pop stations for one of those days in its entirety.
“Not this fucking song again,” Miles groaned from the backseat as Alejandro came on the radio. “Please, someone just shoot me

They were both still grinning when they headed back to the car and took up their seats in the back. Miles and Jim tag-teamed Claire into letting them change the music, and they popped in one of Miles’ many road trip mixes. They all settled into an easy silence, and while Jim concentrated on the road and Claire admired the view, Richard inched his fingers over to gently touch Miles

The next day was Miles’ turn to drive, and before starting be plugged in his ipod. Before Richard got up Miles downloaded a ton of classical music and jazz and other things he knew Richard would like.
“Shotgun gets music pick,” Miles announced, holding the ipod out to Richard and hoping he remembered how to hit play.
He did, and when the violins picked up Richard couldn’t hide his grin. He mouthed the words thank you to Miles, who winked at him from behind the wheel.
“You don’t have to hide it, ya know,” Jim drawled from the backseat. “We all know you two are doin’ the horizontal mambo.”
Miles raised an eyebrow and kept his mouth shut, putting the ball in Richard’s court.
Richard just smirked and kept his eyes focused out the window. “We don’t know what you’re talking about.”

I love you. And this. Thank you, thank you, thank you! <3333

LOVE IT! I'm so used to stories where they're doing it out in the open, so the secret love affair was a great twist. Loved Claire in this. She was adorable. And the silliness of Miles's seduction was great. And yay that he learned Spanish in high school. The empty coffee was TOO CUTE.

Hehehehe, thank you! I tried to write something serious but Miles simply would not stop goofing around. XDD
I love secret love affairs, even if the boys aren't too good at hiding it. XDD And making Miles know Spanish seemed to fit, so they can have secret conversations too. :P
