Somehow I missed the Richard one before (was it for the comment fic-a-thon?) but, AH. MY HEART. Richard's immortality is such an interesting theme to play with, and this is a really heartbreaking and beautiful look at him. Especially this line:
He is willing to go gently, but Jacob won’t allow it, he urges Richard onwards, marching to a distant drumming that will never waver, never slow, never stutter to a stop.
...CRYING FOREVER NOW. :((((

It was, it was the last one I wrote. I couldn't resist the prompt, Richard's struggle with his immortality is one of my favorite aspects of his character. There's something about a man asking to live forever then having to deal with the reality of that choice that I find endlessly fascinating.
