Well, it didn’t work this time. My system didn’t work, and as a result, the Blizzard of ’14 was all my fault.

Winter is nasty.
Every year.
There’s something oddly human about insisting you have the worst weather, which I guess is kind of bragging about bad things.
However, that is a contest **I** will always win.
Or lose.

Sadly, I think you are correct.
We **are** supposed to get above zero for our high today, however!

That's a nice change! It's minus 4 here right now, which sounds bad but at least it's 12 degrees warmer than last night. In fact, last night we tied a record low that was set the winter after I was born.

So that's where all the snow went to!

We used to get a lot of snow starting late October early November but for the last few years we've barely gotten an inch in late Jan or early Feb.

I'd be happy to share ... we're a tenth of an inch from setting a record for January snowfall.

No, no, it's all my former brother-in-law's fault! He got (re-)married on January 5 (in Nappanee) and believes that set it all off. Since I doubt he'll be doing a repeat, it's all good for next year. (He may be a former b-i-l, but we still love him.)
