Writer's Block: Back in Time

I'd go back to my own youth, conk myself across the side of the head, and tell myself to stop acting like an emo idiot.

writer's block, time travel

You were an emo?

LOL! LOL! LOL!

Well you get the point. Me, I'd go back either to the 50s, love the music, or back to Ancient Rome and use my scientific knowledge to make me a VIP with all its attendant perks.

I would go
forward in time, at least three or four hundred years. Just so I could see if we ever got those spaceships off the literal ground for points unknown, if the globe got all warmed up, if there are no trees left or did the spotted owl win, a Spike movie ever got produced before JM looked seventy, did we go back to the gold standard or now maybe gold pressed latinum.... :-)

Go backward and revisit my youth?
shudders at that thought

Oh, isn't that a bit boring? Been there, done that . . . and you'd probably be fruitless. Kids aren't particularly good listeners. You'd probably increase the emo problem.

I don't know where I'd go . . . there's never been a time period that really seemed to suit me . . . I suppose I'd go to America before anyone discovered it. I think that would be really inspiring . . . entire parts of a country that are untouched by man, beauty created there even though there's the possibility no one will see it.
