Being Allergic To Allergies

Mar 22, 2024 04:23

When I complained to my surgeon that I was still having symptoms of sinus problems, he stuck a big metal tube up my nostril and worked it around for half an hour. Then he stuck it up my other nostril.

And now I no longer complain to my sinus surgeon--about anything.

Then he asked me how long it's been since I was allergy tested. It turns out people ( Read more... )

Maybe if you were around horses a lot you'd lose the allergy like you did with the dog? It must be so frustrating. Mr Cee has allergies to various tree pollens, so I'm just waiting for him to start sneezing soon...

The problem is I'm allergic to so many outdoor things, it's impossible to tale when one might be getting better or another one worse. Still, I don't mind hanging around the horses, so maybe I'll give it a try!

I reckon you are probably most allergic to allergy tests...

that is a lot of allergies (and I was wondering how you got a picture of my arm...I'm allergic to pretty much the same)

I wonder, these days, if more people have allergies than don't? Or maybe the people who don't have allergies just don't talk about it--I'm jealous.

I talk about this in class. We're learning that in countries where we have a good handle on parasites we see allergies and autoimmune diseases so do we want to be itchy/sniffling or do we want worms in our butts?

I'd rather pass on the worms than pass the worms.

I've only seen an allergist once and it was not super productive. Lots of minor reactions to the usual dust etc. Because I'd been getting really bad eczema from the non allergenic dog they insisted it must be an allergy to dogs but I didn't react to other dogs and now later in life eczema is just a thing that pops up for me without any dogs...

Hurrah for allergy shots when needed. I find Benadryl can be really useful in a pinch when I have a histamine reaction coming on.

I don't know if Benadryl helps my symptoms or not: Ten minutes after taking it I'm well on my way to a ten hour nap.

LOL that's not uncommon. If you nap you feel less uncomfortable so I call it a win :)
