NaNoWriMo won, rough draft finished!

It turns out I can not only write 50,000 words in thirty days, I can write them in 20 days!

(Technically 22, because I didn't update my count as fast as I wrote, but what the heck.)

Congratulations! What's your timeline for publishing your Oz book (unless you'd rather not say)? (I know not to expect anything for awhile but the idea of an Oz book written by you is rather exciting.)

Oh, I'd be happy to say! But, sadly, I don't know. My plan, once it's finished, is to try to get it traditionally published, and that means submissions, rejections, more submissions, more rejections .... on and on. I'm willing to self-publish if I can't find the right publisher, but self-publishing is SO much harder (and also more profitable, if you do it right.)

The sad truth is that a lot of people will probably have forgotten I was even writing one by the time I can announce a publication date. On the other hand--sometimes good things happen! I'll certainly let you know. At least I can tell you I'm working on revisions right now.

Congratulations! I'm so excited to read your book!

I made it to 52,366 total by the end. I'm not done my draft but I'm well on my way.

That's great! I just started on revisions--not as much fun, but we've got something to show for our time.
