Sometimes I think cardmaking is like being a fashion designer. Each design is like an individual outfit that will never be replicated and it's one of a kind. I honestly didn't think it was something I was going to be good at but I found with the right tools, pretty much anybody can make professional looking cards ( Read more... )

Just a couple of tips, the products you buy from Stampin Up are totally over the top in price! Spotlight and Lincraft have a good variety of accessories,Lincraft tends to be a little more expensive though. Birch have great products at good prices, not sure if you can buy from them directly though. Brads should be available at all good craft shops, but just watch what you pay, some people are total rip-offs!! The best place to shop for all this stuff is online,or keep an eye out for the craft shows, there is an awesome one called papercraft, but I think it has just been in Melbourne? Give me a few days to talk to my Mum,and trust me,she knows the which places have the best stuff for the best prices! Also check out a magazine called Stamping & Papercraft,it's a monthly one, with awesome ideas and listings of heaps of shops. happy stamping, and I'll get back to you when I talk to my Mum.
P.S. there is a wicked ass shop here in Mornington called Paper squared,GOD! I spend WAY too much money there!hehe!

Thank you for all the tips. I don't buy everything through Stampin' Up. But they have really reasonably priced card stock and some of their accessories are just so good. But if I can find things cheaper elsewhere I do.

Been finding some interesting bargains and buys in the bargain bin at Riot Art and Craft and at Lincraft! The Warehouse also seems to have some good scrapping stuff.

Do any of these place have websites? Wouldn't mind doing some online shopping of Australian scrapping and stamping places.

MMM! And thanks for the heads up on the Magazine. I'm always looking for ideas and inspiration! I'll keep an eye out for it!

Heya. Thanks for your thoughts :-) Brads - the best quality I like to get is about 50 for $3.35 at a scrap shop in either greensborough or eltham. The one in greensy is closing or closed but selling online and she said people are able to pick orders up to save on postage which is a bonus! They have everything and that's where I bought that cheap aquapen from. They are www.scrapbookingmadeeasy.com.au
I really got the SU aqua pens for free with my hostess shopping but anyways. I love Stampin' Up stuff - I find the stamp pads superios to others I have used. I love their stamp sets and find them quite economical when I compare them to buying 4 stamps elsewhere - although some sets are very overpriced like the alphabets. I think a lot of their accessories are pretty comparable to shops so I have no issues buying their stuff. I love card stock.. I can't get enough hehe.

Wheeee! That's the sort of website I've been looking for!

I bought a pack of those 12 color Stampin Spots in the bold brights and they have been awesome! One of the best purchases I've made. I don't use big stamps so those are ideal and they seem to match everything.

Though I think getting a normal sized pad in black is essential to any stamp kit.
